According to the authority, at least 20 residences are on fire, for which the evacuation of houses near the affected territory was directed, in addition to requiring the cooperation of the municipalities near the city.

Likewise, the entity indicated that the incendiary sources continue to be active due to the high temperatures registered in the municipality, as well as the strong gusts of wind and the drought.

In the face of the catastrophe, government agencies established the Emergency Alert System (SAE) through mobile devices, where they urged the population to remain calm and abide by the instructions.

“So far no injuries have been reported, which, given the seriousness of the situation, is a good thing, we are not clear about the amount, but it has already consumed several homes, an issue that we will confirm,” said the mayor of the municipality of Valparaíso George Sharp.

It should be noted that the National Forestry Corporation (Conaf), indicated that in order to fight the fire at least 12 brigades, five cistern trucks, a heavy machinery, three planes and six helicopters; in addition to a communal emergency and civil protection team.
