WASHINGTON, November 16 – RIA Novosti. China, Russia, Iran and North Korea are undermining key democratic institutions, national security and the rule of law in the United States, FBI Director Christopher Wray said at a House hearing.
“Countries like China, Russia, Iran and North Korea are growing more aggressively. They are finding angles to undermine our key democratic institutions, national security and the rule of law,” he said.
At the same time, according to the head of the FBI, China poses the greatest threat to economic and national security, as well as innovations and ideas of the United States. Ray noted the FBI’s high concern about China’s cybersecurity threats, including the collection and theft of Americans’ personal data, including through the use of the TikTok social network.
Russia has repeatedly denied US allegations of interference in the past, including in US elections. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov called them “absolutely unfounded.” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking about alleged Russian interference in elections in different countries, stated that there were no facts confirming this.
