MOSCOW, April 27 – RIA Novosti. Advisor to the head of the office of Volodymyr Zelensky, Mikhail Podolyak, criticized the UN, calling it a “weak organization.”
The reason for this attitude was that UN Secretary General António Guterres, as part of efforts to establish peace in Ukraine, first visited Russia, and only then went to Kyiv.

The West is very scared: Russia wins

“I am surprised that representatives of organizations such as the UN go first to Russia, and not to Ukraine. The fact that only on the 63rd day of the war they started talking about humanitarian corridors sounds strange. The UN is a weak organization,” he quotes Podolyak Ukrainian online edition “Strana.ua”.
Earlier on Wednesday, Guterres announced that he had arrived in Ukraine, where he was to hold talks on Thursday with the country’s Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba and Volodymyr Zelensky. The day before, the UN Secretary General held talks in Moscow with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Guterres office: Putin agrees to involve the UN in the evacuation of people from Azovstal

Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24. President Vladimir Putin called its goal “the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.” For this, according to him, it is planned to carry out “demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine”, to bring to justice all war criminals responsible for “bloody crimes against civilians” in Donbass.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces strike only at the military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops and, as of March 25, they have completed the main tasks of the first stage – they have significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine. The main goal in the Russian military department was called the liberation of Donbass.
