The Federal Police (PF) today (21) fulfills eight search and seizure warrants against suspected fraudsters of emergency aid. According to the PF, the damage caused by the criminal organization can reach R$ 1 million.
The warrants for the Decipit operation are being carried out in the cities of Rio de Janeiro, Angra dos Reis (RJ), Barueri and Carapicuíba (both in SP).
According to investigations, the group used lists of people published in websites of regional electoral courts (TREs) who did not vote in the last three elections.
With this information, fraud suspects captured data on websites and registered in the federal government portal.
The criminal organization then made the undue request for the benefit through the Caixa Tem app.
The investigations also found that the suspects resorted to other frauds such as the registration of chips cell phone in the name of beneficiaries and false documents. This served to give the appearance that the registration for emergency aid was real.
The suspected leader of the group had already been arrested in 2016 by the Civil Police of Paraná for embezzlement and forgery of documents. In addition to him, five other people are investigated by the Decipit operation.
